If the cost exceeds the amount of the Gift Certificate, you will be give the opportunity to pay that balance with your credit card or PayPal.

No, they never expire. You can spend it at anytime.

Is There A Shipping Charge?

There is no shipping charge on emailed Gift Certificates (if ordered without a jewelry order). Just choose "Gift Certificate" in the shopping cart shipping charge menu and your shipping charge will show as zero.
